Cassi, Oliver and Beau

My name is Cassi; I was adopted from CVHS in January 2004 at 3-4 months old. My human Mom was looking for a companion with specifications of a rottweiler or German Shepherd—I fit the bill perfectly as I made to order. My human family is great; we run around the yard, play Frisbee and watch the property. Mom's human family is big; we have kids ranging to just1 year to 29 years old (some of these are grand kids). I like to human sit the little ones, they are fun. Mom has me trained well, the little ones 4 & 5 when they were younger would fall asleep on the floor for naps, I would watch over them while they slept.

My name is Oliver, I am an adoptee from 2004 also. I came to live with Cassi after my first human Mom moved out of state and couldn’t take me with her. But my 1st Mom worked with Cassi’s mom and asked if I could come and visit as Cassi was getting lonely when the human kids were away and Cassi needed help keeping an eye on the little ones. Well, the visit ended up being a permanent one. Cassi now has me to chase around or retrieve if Mom calls, as I am half hound and my nose gets the best of me.
As you can see by the pictures, we are very happy puppies (okay teenagers). We enjoy our human pack very much. Our human pack are very active kids and grand kids to keep us busy with playing ball, chasing birds or just laying in the sun. (You would say they are a pawful, )

We would like to introduce you to a very grand adoptee, her name is Beau. Beau was adopted in 1990 by our human grandpa. Beau has traveled from Vermont to Florida several times over the years. Recently, in 2004 & 2005, she took the longest road trip. She traveled with our human Grandpa, Grandma and Great Grandma from Vermont to California and back. From the stories Grandpa told us she had a great time. Sadly to say, Grandma Beau is not longer with us.
Since this was written, our human Grandpa has also passed. He would come to our house on Saturday and Sunday to have coffee and conversation with Mom. We would greet him each visit with great enthusiasm on what Grampa would bring us. We were like the grand kids waiting for a new toy or just a treat by jumping up and down barking Grampa is here! Grampa would bring us cookies every visit. We miss him as much as our Mom does with conversation and coffee.
Thank you for taking the time to read our stories. We will send you more of our activities as the years go on.
