"Just wanted to let you guys know Patches is doing wonderful. He is the most amazing smart little puppy I have ever met. He loves to walk and we go twice a day. He loves to play outside which he gets to do all the time and listen he is so good at that. He has excellent manners for a little guy. Other people that meet him are truly amazed how good he really is for a little puppy. I can't thank you enough for letting me be the lucky one to adopt this beautiful little man. Hi there,
I recently adopted a kitten from the "Batman Clan" (Riddler) who I named Isaac (Hebrew for "laughter")
Just wanted to let you know he is happy and healthy and has brought so much joy in to my life. Isaac is very clever. He remembers where he left/lost a toy or the last place I gave him a treat and he will go back to those places to check up and see what's there. It's like he's always thinking. A very serious young man. He also took his own picture which I will attach. He's fascinated by my laptop and has often clicked on things while I wasn't looking so I put it on photobooth and set it in front of him and sure enough he clicked so, here you go!

Dear CVHS, On July 31 my family adopted a kitten by the name of Sage. We renamed her Clementine however. She is just as you described her. She had a ton of energy that even our 2year old has a hard time competing with. But she is very affectionate as well. I think she is happy in her new home. I want to thank you for Talia. She is so wonderful. She was obviously house trained really well before she was brought to the shelter. She has not had one accident yet and tells us when she needs to go by going to the door. She sleeps with me every night now and follows who ever happens to be home around. Tomorrow will be the first day home alone so that will be a true test so I am hoping she will be ok. We brought her to lake Elmore camping last week and she had a ball.
She was so worn out when we got home. She loved being out and about and took over the tent as her own domain and would go in there just to veg through out the day. I have attached a picture of her and Brandon in the tent from this weekend. She is so good. We absolutely love her.

Here is a picture of our new puppy. She was pretty pooped last night, although did whimper every 2 hrs +/- to go outside. We've decided to name her "Tulu". She is great! We've been out for lots of walks in the woods today and now she is sleeping under my desk while I try to get some work done.

Shirley, the tortie is now named Chalka and Ophelia, the tabby/white is names Zuri. They are doing GREAT!!! The are total love bugs with us, each other and their dogs! We're one big happy family.

I just wanted to share a picture of Jillyboo with all of you. We adopted Jillyboo on October 20th. She's a joy to our whole family. I think I can honestly say she is as happy to be with us as we are to have welcomed her into our home. Even the 11 year old Yellow Lab seems to be liking her now...though that might be because of the snacks she gets from Jillyboo's food dish when no one's looking too! :)Thank you again We love her!

I have attached some photos of Naughtia, the friendly little kitty I adopted in February of 2005. She has brought so much happiness to my life and she has been through so much! When I adopted her, she could not bend her left rear leg. It was suspected that her knee had fused from an injury a year prior. Since her leg couldn't bend, she injured herself several times while playing with her little sister. My vet discovered that she had a metal rod in her leg, explaining the stiffness. She finally convinced me that we should amputate the leg to bring more comfort and maneuverability to Naughtia. It would have been a hard decision but coincidentally, I already had a three-legged cat at home! After the operation, Naughtia adapted quickly. She now moves with ease and is just as happy as before. She loves all creatures, big and small and is not shy. In the fall of 2008, I thought that I had lost her. She didn't come in for dinner one night which was very strange because she never goes very far away. I looked for her every day for two weeks before accepting the fact that something terrible must have happened to her. I was devastated. A week later, she showed up at the door all skin and bones. She must have been stuck in the neighbor's garage while he was on vacation because the door that had been shut for three weeks was wide open and there she was. I couldn't believe she was still alive. I nursed her back to heath and have kept a close eye on her (and her sister) ever since!

"Flash" has been a welcome addition to our home. We love his polydactyl paws and huge heart. His name is Oreo now and he fits his Kookie name ; ) Thanks for all your work and for being in the right place to fill our hearts with so much love.

I have begun the search for a second dog, and realized that I had never thanked you for my first! Here is Jordan's story.
After losing my first dog Teddy to thyroid cancer, I began a search for a new companion. I remember walking into the dog room at CVHS one day and seeing every dog bark but one. I looked that dog in the eyes and said "I'll be back to get you". That was four (?) years ago, and Jordan has become my very best friend. A shepard mix, he was a stray, about a year and a half old, and clearly mistreated. Despite that he is loyal, playful and kind, and so like the brother he never met, both in temperment and appearance, that they could be fraternal twins. Jordan is a wonderful companion, friend and protector. We are now searching for another friend to enjoy our house and life in the country.

Dante and Spaz were not buddies right away. Both of them are bullies with cat attitude. It took patience and love to get them to warm up to each other. Now, after 10 months, we often catch them sleeping together and they love to play with cat toys together. We are so happy that our family is now complete. Thank you for rescuing these two fantastic cats.

A few weeks, ago, we brought Kane home to live with us; and, he has settled in, nicely. He is lovable, playful, and everything that we could want in a cat. He even manages to stand up for himself without harming (or even frightening) our kids.

Izzie and Aria have been doing fine since I adopted them. Aria and Izzie don't like each other much still, but thats okay since they both put aside their differences just enough, so they can sleep in bed with me every night. And Aria is a big cuddle bug too! I'm glad to have both her and Izzie in my life, even with their lil attitudes! They are great kitties and they always bring many smiles to my face.

Greetings. We have someone special to be thankful for this Thanksgiving - Roxy! We were ecstatic to adopt her on 11/14/08 and she's settled right into her new home. Although described as timid, she's happily greeted visitors who've stopped by to welcome her, and played with a neighborhood puppy. Roxy's a wonderful, inquisitive and loving girl who'll be a cherished member of our family for many years.
