*woof* I'm Shadow Marie, a small 9 month old spayed female husky/cattle dog mix. I'm a super sweet girl, that just has way too much energy to be kept here in a shelter! I'm a fast learner and just want to please the people in my life. I'm still a puppy so I haven't learned all of my manners yet. Are you willing to learn with me? I've already learned sit, and I'm working on my leash manners. I seem to do fine with some other dogs though I like to be rough when I play. Another highly active dog would be best for me. I do not do well with those pesky felines so a home without them is a must for me!

Hi, my name is Maple and I am a 6 year old spayed female puggle. (Which is a beagle/pug mix). I am a sweet little girl who absolutely loves getting petted. I seem to do well with other dogs my size, and cats. I have been learning how to walk properly on leash, and already know how to sit for my food. I would do best in a home with children over the age of 8, as in my previous home the younger children were too loud and active for me to handle. I love sitting on laps and going for calm walks. I'm also not a very barky dog, especially when I'm around people. Come cuddle with me!

Hello, my name is Nixon. I'm a 4-5 year old neutered male Laborador/Terrier Mix. Right now I weigh about 44# but I could stand to gain a few! I'm sure happy to have no competition for dinner around here but I still feel protective of my food. I bet kids over 12 years old wouldn't make me nervous about my food. I'm a really really sweet little guy and I have lots of energy. The staff here can't get enough of my cute little face! I'm not fond of cats but I'm great with other dogs. I'm looking forward to having a reliable home to call my own. Come take me out for a wiggly walk!

p.s. I went to the Mutt Strutt in Waterbury on Sunday and I did so well! I strutted my stuff for a 3 mile walk and enjoyed all of the people, kids and other dogs.

Hi! My name is Scooby Du. I came to the shelter on 3/23/08 because my owner wasn't able to care for me anymore. I am a very nice rottweiler / coonhound mix who enjoys people and going for walks! I've got lots of energy, but am a polite fellow. Right now, I'm a very skinny guy, but the folks here at the shelter are doing their best to fatten me up. I would do best in a forever home with no young children, but with lots of love and attention to spare. I am also a little TOO interested in cats, so (for their sake) I should not have any feline siblings. Despite these suggestions, I am a charming friend, and would love for you to come in and meet me!
