Hi, I'm Barley! I'm a very special old black labrador. The staff estimates that I'm 13 years old or older! I stumbled into CVHS as a neutered stray and slept for the first 3 days!! With some good food, energy, and attention, I've found new life! I'm really hoping that CVHS can find me a retirement home where I can spend the rest of my happy life.

I'm definitely a low energy companion dog. I can manage a trot outside but I'd much prefer to lie down by your feet and sleep.

So far I've been good with other dogs and cats. I'd like kids only over the age of 8 so I can rest my tired bones.

I really love attention and companionship. I know it'll take a really special home to adopt me and I'm prepared to give plenty of love back!

I will need one of my teeth pulled before I can go to my new home. CVHS has a vet who can do this as soon as you're ready to adopt me! What do you say? Come meet me at the shelter!

Hi, I'm Goldberg! I'm a very special male 1-2 year old German Shepherd/Terrier mix. I'm a really big boy at about 90 pounds! I'm an adorable and active guy who enjoys other dogs. I'm looking for a home without young kids or any cats but with plenty of people to love!

What makes me so special?? Well, for such a young guy I already have some issues with arthritis. My special home would be willing and able to nurse me through recovery from a surgery to one of my joints. I'll also need medications for the rest of my life. The good news is I more than make up for my troubles with all of the love that I have to share!

Hi I'm Bella. I'm a 4 year old spayed female. If you're wondering why my left ear looks a little funny, it's because I had a hematoma removed and have a couple stitches! The stitches will soon be removed, but my ear will always look a little funny. I don't mind - I think it adds to my personality! I'm a sweet girl who really likes to be held. Do you have a soft spot for me?

I'm not a special needs cat because of any health issues. I'm special because this shelter is so scary! I really love people but this place is overwhelming. When the staff takes me down from my kennel I get very nervous and jump right back up to hide. I'd really love a quiet home where I can be a lap cat and not worry about cats, dogs, or people. Do you have that special place for me? Come soon!
